Even the devil was once an angel...
Still reeling from a devastating betrayal, and a shaky relationship with Ethan, her Guardian Angel, Samantha reluctantly seeks comfort with Damien - the original fallen, the devil whispered about and part of the original deception of Adam and Eve. She learns of the real reason for his existence – a sad and twisted reason that would force even the most ardent Bible thumpers to show sympathy. He agrees to help Samantha fight Sebastian but what she doesn't know is there is a price for Damien's involvement. A price she would never allow. The only problem is, she isn't the one making the sale.

I received this book to give an honest review.

Man Samantha is off the chain...she still has not learned how to control herself fully and to make it even worse for her she has to deal with the betrayal of her best friend. She finds comfort in Ethan but that won't last long when Damien the original Fallen comes into the picture. Everyone keeps telling Samantha that he just doesn't help without a price and she will soon learn this.
It seems that she will fight more between the darkness and the light and whatever decisions she chooses can go either way. Damien is a shady character through and through I really loved how the author incorporated the apple and what it does.
As a character I was really hoping to see Samantha grow but she is like a love lust 18 year old and it drove me crazy with how she acted. Especially towards Ethan.
She will still have to learn how to control her emotions and will be dealt some tough situations but in the end can she handle it all?
Towards the end there was a big shocker for me on what Ethan does and even though I could tell something was up I didn't think about that happening.
I hope there could be a book three because I want more. I want to see if Samantha can grow and come into what she needs to be.

A former Army brat, Christine Hughes moved quite often. She spent much of her time losing herself in books and creating stories about many of the people she'd met. Falling in love with literature was easy for her and she majored in English while attending college in New Jersey.
Not sure where her love of reading and writing fit, she became a middle school English teacher. After nine years of teaching others to appreciate literature, she decided to take the plunge and write her first novel. Now at home focusing on making writing her new career, she spends her time creating characters and plot points instead of grading papers.
